It's To Bargain With Mortals Day!

Dear reader,

Today is October 28th, 2025 (on the day that this post is scheduled to be published) and so that means that TO BARGAIN WITH MORTALS has been OFFICIALLY hard launched into the world. At this point, several of you have already tagged me in photographs of BARGAIN on bookstore shelves or posts about your pre-orders arriving (thank you very much!!!), so we are well into a soft-launch phase, but we still have to celebrate the Official Book Birthday.

I have another post in the drafts about the journey of getting an agent/deal so I won’t get into it too much here, but the last 13 months has been absolutely surreal. After flopping in the query trenches, I honest to god thought I might never get published — and if I did, it would have to be a different book, not this one. How happy I am to be wrong.

BARGAIN is out in paperback and audio. I am sooooo excited to say that I have literally the perfect voice actors for my book, Nikita Tewani and Fajer Al-Kaisi. Their auditions were SO good, I forgot all about my ick of hearing my own words read to me. If you’d like to get a copy, I’ve compiled a list of popular shops here, or you can request it from your local indie or library if you’d like. I’m not picky.

In other news, I have an event TONIGHT with Emma Skies at A Seat at the Table Books. I will be tuning in from 🇨🇦 Canada 🇨🇦 but Emma will be there in person. Attendees will get signed bookplates AND 2 lucky winners will walk away with the BARGAIN influencer boxes that went out earlier this summer (there is an unboxing graciously voiced by my sister on my Instagram if you want to check it out).
